Graveside funeral services for Christine Smith, 72, of Natchez who died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16, at the Natchez City Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 7, 1940 in Natchez, the daughter of Thomas Wallett and Carrie Peck Wallett. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J. C. Smith of Natchez, her daughter, Patricia Smith Buchanan and husband Pat of Ridgeland, MS, her son, Thomas Smith and wife Rhonda of Natchez, three grandchildren; Sara Buchanan, Chelsea Smith, and Dustin Lanehart, three sisters; Olean Adams of Dallas, TX, Johnnie Mae Abernathy of San Antonio, TX, and Natie Lee Stuber of DeRidder, LA.

Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund or the charity of one’s choice.
