Funeral services for Margaret Spencer “MiMi” Wilson, 79, of Natchez, who died Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Baton Rouge, LA will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walton Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home.

Margaret was born April 13, 1933 in Natchez, MS the daughter of Louis Martin Spencer, Sr. and Fannie Smith Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Gina Wilson Green.

Margaret loved ballet and tap dancing, under the direction of Martha Hootsell School of Dancing, and spent many years performing in the Confederate Pageant Tableau. She was a life- long member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

Margaret loved working in her yard and making beautiful flower beds. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She had a wonderful smile that would light up a room. In her career, she was an agent for Aflac Insurance and enjoyed her many part-time retail jobs.

Survivors include two daughters; Sheree’ Bryant of Natchez and Amy Sanders and husband Justin of Baton Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Tabitha Cain, Brittany Bryant, Julia Sanders and Chloe’ Sanders; two great grandchildren, Alain Cain and Caleb Cain; one brother, Louis M. Spencer, Jr. and wife Barbara; two nieces, Kate Spencer Jabbia and Beth Cummins; cousins, Lamar Spencer, Woody Allen and wife Sissy and their children, Spencer Allen and Jenny Allen; and Anne Hash and special friends Patsy Galler and Darryl Wilkinson

Pallbearers will be Rodney Daggett, Justin Sanders, Woody Allen, Lamar Spencer, Darryl Wilkinson, and Bryant Adams

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Old Jefferson Community Care Center for their loving and compassionate care.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
